Metallica rock India — finally
Defying dark clouds and a sudden downpour, about 50,000 frenzied fans rocked to the American heavy metal band Metallica on Sunday night in Bengaluru amid tight security. Putting the cancelled debut gig at Gurgaon on Friday behind them, the four-member band electrified the already highly charged atmosphere with their popular hits and had the enthused audience asking for more. Among their hit songs the group treated the fans to during their two-hour show were Kill 'Em All, Master of Puppets, Death Magnetic, and Ride the Lightning. Though rain and heavy screening delayed the start by an hour, Metallica came on stage after an Indian band and a Scottish band warmed up the fans.
